AFL Blockbuster Brisbane Lions V Geelong Cats
Monday 6th July 2009

On July 11th the Brisbane Lions play the Geelong Cats in an AFL blockbuster at the GABBA in Queensland. A portion of the game’s proceeds will be donated to The Adam Scott Foundation and their main project, Adam Scott Foundation Youngcare Apartments.

i4U enjoys a fantastic relationship with The Adam Scott Company and is a proud corporate sponsor of the The Adam Scott Foundation. i4U created Adam’s online presence and provides daily client support and web maintenance to all interests of the website including the Foundation.

In 2007 The Adam Scott Foundation announced a partnership with Youngcare to develop a purpose-built apartment complex for young people requiring 24 hour care, on the Gold Coast.

World renowned international golfer Adam Scott said the apartments will be the first project supported by the Adam Scott Foundation and is the second apartment complex to be built by Youngcare.

“I grew up on the Gold Coast, I am proud to support the project and assist in Youngcare’s pursuit of improving the lives of its residents,” said Adam. “The Adam Scott Foundation was established to provide opportunities for young people who are disadvantaged and this project is a great fit for our foundation’s goals.

“Youngcare also shares this vision and it is exciting to partner with them to develop the project which I am sure will receive great support from the Gold Coast community,” Adam Scott said.

The long-term partnership between the two entities means that Youngcare has made significant progress in attaining its goal of extending services beyond the successful Brisbane project.

The Gold Coast Youngcare apartment project will comprise 10 self contained apartments to service young people with high care needs.

Geoff Hall, General Manager of the Adam Scott Foundation said, “We have identified a site for the development of the project and we are calling on everyone’s assistance to ensure the project is constructed as quickly as possible. Anyone who is interested and could assist in making contributions of building supplies or funds to the project, please do not hesitate to contact us.”

Director of Youngcare David Conry said the partnership with the Adam Scott Foundation allows the charity to achieve one of its goals of expanding its services a lot sooner than originally planned. “The support being provided by the Adam Scott Foundation has allowed us to commence services at the Gold Coast facility a lot sooner than anticipated”.

“Adam is a great example of what Youngcare stands for, allowing young people to live the most fulfilled life possible. I know a lot of young people out there will be grateful for his support and generosity.”
