Website Design
nt3 Recruiting Training Consulting and nt3 Pty Ltd (On-Line) is a new, innovative and highly motivated, Australian-owned and operated boutique recruitment consultancy.
nt3 came to i4U with the innovative idea of building a comprehensive system that allows anyone looking for work or staff, to gain access, for free. The partnership between nt3 and i4U created one of Australia’s most revolutionary websites that assist in finding staff in business organisations of all sizes and across a wide range of industries.
Not only was there a need to create a comprehensive recruitment system, but to create a sleek, clean and sophisticated design to match. Creating 'sexy' designs was the easy part, the difficulties lay with keeping it user friendly. As well as creating the usual 'home' and 'sub page' graphical templates this project included a third template for the 'Executives' area.
The Executives area was to have a different colour palette but still remain consistent with the overall website. This template was to have a more high-end feel to reflect its higher income users.
i4U used the key characteristics of the current offline branding which would create online branding consistency. The colours and type were key features in both branding consistency and a clean design.
i4U kept the colours simple, opting to use only greyscale and variations of lime for the majority of the website. Reflections were added to login boxes and buttons to make them more prominent. Small detailing were kept to a minimum to help keep the design 'clean'.
The Executive page had the inclusion of red. A power colour to reflect the higher income earners. The buttons had a more prominent reflection and the greys were made darker to portray a more 'corporate' look.
The use of imagery was important to the overall look because it added dimension and depth to an otherwise simple colour palette. The images chosen were more abstract than other recruitment sites. We opted to symbolise key points and ideals, reinforcing them with various quotes.
The design was a highly successful outcome not only for i4U and nt3 but also the end users as it offers a great look whilst being user friendly.
